The trip to Mekong Delta offers a glimpse into the agrarian life of the vibrant southern Delta region as we wind our way through the tributaries of the Mekong Delta. From our boats, we are able to closely observe the daily rituals of river life and participate in the bustling commercial activities as we buy our fruits from the floating market. Along the way, we will visit an orchard farm, handicraft village, and a land market with an abundance of colorful fresh fruits and vegetables.
Cai Be Floating Market is a famous place in Mekong Delta. Here the Tien River forms the border between Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre Provinces. Every day, hundreds of boats filled with fruits, vegetables and other products anchor along the banks of the river, waiting for traders and customers. The place is picturesque, and the trade is hot and fun.
This morning pick up from your hotel at 8am we set off for a drive through the Mekong
Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for it's floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. Visit Orchards farms, handicraft village,. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Towards the end of the day we drive back to Saigon.
